尊敬的各位领导、老师，亲爱的同学们，大家上午好.

 Dear leaders, teachers and schoolmates, good morning.

今天，我们演讲的题目是《不忘国耻，为中华之崛起而读书》

Today  our  topic  is "Don’t  forget  national humiliation, Reading  for  the  rise  of  China "

近年来我国的发展日新月异，

In  recent  years, the  development  of  our  country  is changing  rapidly.

出门时便利的公共交通，

When  we  go  out, the  convenient  public  transportation,

假期时悠然的度假生活，超市里琳琅满目的商品，都令我们庆幸生活在这样一个美好的时代。

the leisurely holiday life and the dazzling merchandise in the supermarket  make  us  happy  to  live  in  such  a beautiful  time.

 然而，那段血海一样的九一八记忆在时刻警醒我们“勿忘国耻，振兴中华”。

 However, the  bloodbath  of  September  18th  always reminds us "Don’t  forget  national  humiliation, Revitalize the  Chinese  nation ".

 我们永远不能忘记，１９３１年９月１８日震惊中外的“九一八”事变，

We  can  never  forget  the "Mukden  incident" that shocked China  and  foreign  countries  in  September  18, 1931.

使３０００多万名东北三省的父老成了亡国奴；

More  than  30  million  northeast  elders  became  slaves.

 

我们永远不能忘记，1937年的七七事变，使我们陷入了长达八年的战火中；

 We  can  never  forget  the  July 7th ,1937 incident plunged  us into  a  war  of  eight  years;

我们永远不能忘记，1937年12月13日，发生在南京的那场惨绝人寰的大屠杀……

We  can  never  forget  in  December  13, 1937, the  brutal carnage  happened  in  Nanjing.
    为了重整河山，

In  order  to  reconstruct  the  country,

多少革命先辈抛头颅，撒热血，

how  many  revolutionary  fathers  shed  their  heads  and scatter  their  blood,

以钢铁般的意志和顽强不屈的精神打败了帝国主义侵略者。

they  defeated  the  imperialist  invaders  with  iron will  and indomitable  spirit 
    今天，我们生活在和平安定的社会中，

 Today, we  live  in  a  peaceful  and  stable  society.

但我们不能忘记以前“落后就要挨打”的局面。

But  we  can’t  forget  the  situation  of "being  beaten behind the  back".

古人云：“生于忧患，死于安乐。”

The  ancients  said: "born  in  misery, died  in  peace."

 

 

作为新时代的青少年，我们要继承先烈不怕苦的精神，

As  young  people  in  the  new  age, we  must  inherit the spirit  of  the  martyrs  and  not  be  afraid  of suffering.

在学习上精益求精，珍惜时间按时完成各项学习任务；

Keep  improving  in  your  studies, cherish  the  time  to complete  the  study  tasks  on  time;

要树立正确的人生观、道德观，

We  should  set  up a  correct  outlook  on  life  and morality 培养集体意识和爱国主义精神；

and  cultivate  a sense  of  collective  spirit  and patriotism;

要勇于承担自己的责任，

Be  brave  enough  to  take  on  your  responsibilities,

从小事做起，不断地实现自我超越。

Start  with  small  things, and  constantly  surpass  yourself.

少年强则国强，

Young  are  strong, the  country  strong.

让我们铭记国耻，为中华之崛起而读书。
